Menno Meyer << >>

Menno Meyer earned his credentials at the institute for Applied Arts in Schoonhoven, the Netherlands. He continued his studies at the Höhere Kunst- und Fachhochschule für Metallgestaltung in Pforzheim, Germany. Here the Bauhaus ideals of creativity and craftsmanship played a central role. In 1960 he commenced his own studio.

Menno Meyer represents the seventh generation of artistic craftsmanship in metal. His father and grandfathers had their own studios. In 1974 Meyer opened a gallery in a monumental 15th century building behind the St.John’s Church in Gouda. On view are permanent expeditions of jewellery, awards, garden objects, architectural design, and sculptures.
